The last one is a dried up stream now and its traces are found in the present seasonal streams that flow near Pehowa in Haryana. "Bhangra", a traditional Indian folk dance originated from the Northern Indian state of Punjab. Bhangra can be related to the harvest season in Punjab (Land of 5 Rivers) where farmers celebrate the rich grains they have reaped. This fast and invigorating dance provides a colourful recital screening of the rich culture of Punjab. This traditional dance nowadays is performed at joyous occassions Providing a colourful, energetic performance of traditional Dhol playing and Bhangra Dancing accompanied by live singing proudly displaying our heritage.
Bhangra is taught in groups and individually by the teachers from a syllabus from the very basic steps to advanced routines, typical routines consist of fast fluid and acrobatic actions. Dancers learn how to perform in coordination with each other and accurately executing each step together. Each bhangra action represents
the cultivation of the harvest.
